Recent TPP Alberta data shows prescription forgeries for TPP-monitored drugs continue to be a concern, with most forgeries presented to pharmacies in Calgary, Edmonton and surrounding areas. Oxycodone is by far the drug of choice when it comes to forgeries.

TPP Alberta maintains lists of monitored type 1, type 2 and veterinary medications. These lists are updated regularly to ensure they reflect ongoing changes in health care and the needs to TPP Alberta as a program.
TPP Alberta recently updated their Program Guide, to ensure accuracy and provide prescribers with updated information on prescribing TPP medications, a prescriber’s responsibilities under the program, using the two-part TPP form and much more.
